Originally from North Carolina, I am now proud to say that I am a resident of "Colorful Colorado" where I have resided since 2006. I am the mother to a beautiful four-year old girl who keeps me extremely busy with her energy and ideas. I love to travel, explore new places, cook, bake, and meet new people.
By profession (when I'mnot performing weddings, that is), I am a licensed massage therapist. I attended Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Therapy and Massage in Charlotte, North Carolina. I also attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland and the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, North Carolina, majoring in Biology and minoring in English. However, I realized that Biology was not my passion. My passion was in helping others in any way possible within my means. There is an instant gratification in knowing that I made someone feel better or that I did something to make someone's life a little easier.
One of my favorite creatures is the butterfly because of the large number of transformations it goes through in its life. I think the lesson of the butterfly is applicable to the stages of relationships. for example, in the caterpillar stage you may be stuck with ideas or behaviors you want to change. In the cocoon stage there are times not a lot appears to be happening although subconsciously and consciously ideas are gestating and changing. Then there is the final transformation to a beautiful, colorful, joyful, floating butterfly. The wings pump with blood and we are free to float into our new world, flitting about seeing things from a whole new perspective.
When you are planning to marry you are definitely in the "butterfly stage" of your life, getting ready to float into a new world with your companion. I am ecstatic to be a wedding officiant so that I may assist you in this important stage of your life!
